In »Somehow standing« (Somehow standing), the focus is on a body in transit, in transition, in a trance. A body in transition is a subversive body. In its oscillating existence, almost always on the edge of the abyss, this body continuously rises like a phoenix from the ashes. It creates and lives by its own rules, constantly reinvents itself, discovers new ways of being present and absent, opens its consciousness to the space and others, speaks differently to gravity, walks, falls, and stands back up again, finds its breath anew, searches for new sources of energy, but never gives up.

The piece deals with the concept of instability. Instability is understood as a physical performative practice that creates space for moments of crisis and liberation. It is about reflecting on our abilities in times of turbulence and despair.

In »Somehow standing« (Irgendwie stehend) geht es um einen Körper im Transit, im Übergang, in Trance. Ein Körper im Übergang ist ein subversiver Körper. In seiner oszillierenden Existenz, fast immer am Rande des Abgrunds, entsteht dieser Körper kontinuierlich wie ein Phönix aus der Asche neu. Er erschafft und lebt nach seinen eigenen Regeln, erfindet sich ständig neu, entdeckt neue Formen der Anwesenheit und Abwesenheit, öffnet sein Bewusstsein für den Raum und die anderen, spricht anders mit der Schwerkraft, geht, fällt und steht wieder auf, findet neu seinen eigenen Atem, sucht nach neuen Energiequellen, aber gibt niemals auf.

Das Stück setzt sich mit dem Konzept der Instabilität auseinander. Die Instabilität wird als körperliche performative Praxis verstanden, die Raum für Momente der Krise und der Befreiung schafft. Es geht darum, über unsere Fähigkeiten in Zeiten von Turbulenzen und Verzweiflung nachzudenken.

Dance theater performance with objects

 "Who is hiding in this body?" is a poetic and playful performance that combines theater and dance, using dialogue with the audience as a foundation for self-reflection.

This performance was only presented in unconventional spaces in Berlin. But it can be performed in any corner of the world.
Home can be anywhere for me. It follows me as a memory, as a feeling, as a body. Traveling through time and space, I am a collection of experiences and sensations that I continually bring into my consciousness and share with my surroundings. Once, I dreamed of my homeland, Cuba. In this dream, Havana was in a situation similar to Berlin at the time when the Wall was built. I mixed two cities in one dream. This event led me to think that my experiences, connected to different places, allow me to constantly recreate my identity.

Diese Performance wurde nur in unkonventionellen Räumen in Berlin aufgeführt. Aber sie kann an jeder Ecke der Welt stattfinden.
Die Heimat kann für mich überall sein. Sie begleitet mich als Erinnerung, als Gefühl, als Körper. Durch Zeit und Raum reisend, bin ich eine Ansammlung von Erlebnissen und Empfindungen, die ich mir immer wieder ins Bewusstsein rufe und mit meiner Umgebung teile. Einmal habe ich von meinem Heimatland Kuba geträumt. In diesem Traum befand sich Havanna in einer ähnlichen Situation wie Berlin, als die Mauer gebaut wurde. Ich habe zwei Städte in einem Traum vermischt. Dieses Ereignis brachte mich zu dem Gedanken, dass meine Erfahrungen, die mit verschiedenen Orten verbunden sind, mich meine Identität ständig neu erschaffen lassen.
